We are Irzam and Zaigham Mubarik. We’re filmmakers

currently in our final year at Columbia College Hollywood, pursuing Cinema Directing BFA’s. We’ve been on the move since childhood. We were born in the Southeast Asian country of Pakistan and have spent our childhood both in California and Texas. Our love for filmmaking has brought us back to The Golden State.

We believe the most interesting aspect of film is the ability to explore countless experiences. Being from Pakistan and having been raised in the United States has really helped us gain perspective and has taught us the similarities and contrasts of different cultures and varying points of view. We believe this has helped us in creating films where the audience can clearly hear the voice of every distinct character, creating rich, complex, three dimensional human beings.

 

Our inspiration and infinite passion for the crime, psychological thriller genre blossomed from many of the modern greats: the brilliant stories from Nolan, the flawed characters from Scorsese, the witty dialogue from Tarantino, and the suspenseful mystery from Fincher.

We aim to use the grounds they have provided to create compelling cinema at its highest and to keep pushing the boundaries for the generations that come after.
